I'm back from my DH's hometown in Terengganu. And guess what? I managed to see the baby of which, the baby's parents have agreed to give it to us.
However, we can't just take the baby easily. The Parents of the baby had imposed to us a very strict conditions a follows:
1. When the baby reaches 7 years old, he must be sent to SEKOLAH PONDOK ONLY! The baby is not allowed to be placed in government or private school.
2.Studying AGAMA is the main priority, and the conventional studies are only secondary!
3. When he reaches 18 years old, he must be sent to MESIR or YAMEN to further his studies.
(reasons of the above : the parents could not afford to send their kids to agama school. The parents felt that if one of their child has a religious education, that would be a great "saham" to them in akhirat, even tough they don't really look after the baby )
******************************
Now, you all can guess my reactions huh? I just looked at the parents and my heart was shouting... "WHAT THE F**K? ARE U CRAZY?" hehehe..
Ok look, I have nothing against any religious studies. I myself have a very religious family background and I was forced to learn agama at the level that you couldn't have guessed when you know me personally.
Religion is vital, especially when you are a Muslim. Yes, i know that. Learning agama alone, would not put food in your mouth, would not be able to pay the bills, would not be able to live your life peacefully.
There's a hadith stating that :
"berkerjalah seperti hidup untuk seribu tahun, dan beribadahlah seperti esok akan mati"
Therefore, to fulfill the above conditions are for me, a TOTAL BULLSHIT!
Therefore, my generous intention of helping the family has to be abandoned due to my unwillingness to support the ideas as above.
You can call me "jahil", "setan", "iblis" or whatever.. But for me, i need my child to be a well-educated person in both conventional and religion studies. I want my child have balance in his life and not ended up as an extremist.
Well, i guess, it's not my rezeki yet..I would have to wait for another or maybe on my own to be a mummy..
Ya allah,
Guide me..
I know that I'm jahil..
Please show me to the right path..
Ameen..
i feel pity for u baby..
You've been left neglected by your own family..
and your own family is stupid enuff to imposed to us the crazy conditions..
sorry, dear baby..

WAH! ok kalau i pun i rasa i tak mampu kot :P hehehehe...i baru nak gitau wani kalau u taknak, leh bagi wani yang tengah nak sgt baby skang ni. tapi baca condition2 parents tu memang i gelak jap sbb wani baru gitau i dia nak hantar anak belajar kat sekolah seni, belajar art and music :P ahahaha adoi!
ReplyDeleteno wont call u setan, benda ni semua kita mampu bawak ke tidak. kalau tak mampu bawak, then takpelah bagi kat org yg lebih mampu. begitu skali tuntutan family dia..bagus memang bagus..tapi tak semue org mampu buat mcm tu.

ReplyDeleteigt sekolah pondok baik sgt ke? (ok statement mengundang kemarahan org lain, aku tau) tp mengikut pengalaman aku (aku grad uia) bdak2 pondok byk yg kejutan budaya. errr.
