It's been a while since my last update..
It has been, still, a roller coaster journey throughout the pregnancy. Alhamdulillah, lil angle is hanging right inside my uterus..
Just a lil update. On my 12th weeks of pregnancy, Dr Wong suggested me to do a First Trimester Screening (FTS) due to my age factor. FTS is is a prenatal test that offers early information about a baby's risk of
certain chromosomal conditions i.e down syndrome..
FTS consist of 2 steps :
- A blood test
- An ultrasound exam to measure the size of the clear space in the tissue at the back of the baby's neck
Ideally, if your risk level is low, first trimester screening can offer reassurance of a healthy pregnancy.
If your risk level is moderate or high, you might choose to follow first
trimester screening with another test that's more definitive.
So far, after the test has been conducted on me, it appears that my risk is on the LOW side. Syukur, alhamdulilah..
